Newbie Guide - Help!

This is probably very basic but I am confused.  Under "More Page Code" in the Newbie Guide I do not understand what is meant by the "textarea" you want to convert.  Do I put this in my websites index.html before every piece of text in there or at the top of the page in the heading? or what?

And also, the "id" name, do I make up any name I want or do I have to use a reference already in my index.html file?

Any help and other suggestions is greatly appreciated!

Err, if you don't know what a textarea is, then I dont' think Xinha is something you want to be using!

This is a textarea!
<textarea></textarea>

See the examples in the Xinha distribution.
