MathML plugin

Hi all!

http://xinha.gogo.co.nz/punbb/viewtopic.php?id=328
Does the MathML plugin for Xinha really exist?

If yes, how can I get this plugin? I didn't find it in the Plugins section of the site.

Re: MathML plugin

I have just received this from Peter Jipsen (the author of ASCIIMathML):

Dear Xinha Developers,

Yes, I agree that it will be useful to have ASCIIMathML available as a plugin in Xinha. I have also had other requests to release the ASCIIMathML.js script under LGPL, and have done that for specific uses. In fact I have no problem doing that for the public release of the script, I just haven't gotten to making the change and releasing a new version. This should happen soon on the official Sourceforge download page and on the ASCIIMath website.

I have not had a chance to test the Xinha AsciiMath plugin that I was notified about recently, but since you are already working on making this part of Xinha, feel free to insert "L" in front of GPL in the relevant parts of the license (otherwise you have to wait until the relevant changes have been made). If you have a development website where Xinha is working with the AsciiMath plugin, I would be interested to see how it works.

Thanks for emailing me about this license issue. When ASCIIMathML.js was first created, I did not expect that it would be used as part of other software, otherwise I probably would have chosen LGPL from the start.

Best regards,
Peter

The problem is solved, I think.
Don't forget to include his name in authors of plugin. smile
